Harpenden Lions Club Highland Gathering 2014

3 of our pipers competed solo this afternoon at the Highland Gathering at Harpenden.

Congratulations to Piper Lachlan McDonald for getting 3rd in the Piobaireachd and 3rd in the March. Also to our Pipe Major, Gareth Utting, for getting 1st in the Piobaireachd, 2nd in the March and 2nd in the Strathspey and Reel.

Well done to our Pipe Sergeant, Paul Burgess, for his first time playing under solo competition conditions. Its brilliant to get more of our players having a go and getting the constructive comments that will help them improve further.

The Stow Caledonian Pipe Band welcome new members, no experience or musical knowledge required.

We are looking to expand our drum corps so if you would like to learn either the snare, tenor or bass, and even the bagpipes, please do not hesitate to contact us via the details below.

We practice at Wingrove Hall, Beech Hall Road, Chingford, London, E4 9NT from 7:30pm to 10pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.
